Data Management System
Managing a lung cancer screening programme involves organising and processing a great variety of personal and medical data. A good data management system (DMS) can support programme managers with proper administration, registration of data and tracking of participants. Our NELSON+ Data Management System is specifically designed to perform these tasks and has been tested and proven in the 4 In The Lung Run lung cancer screening trial.
System Units
Our Nelson+ DMS is divided into several individual Units. Each Unit specialises in a separate part of the screening progress. The Screening Unit is where the practising radiologist enters their findings of the participants CT scan. The Communications Unit is where administrators upload letters and other information to be automatically sent to the programme’s participants. Other Units deal with organising appointments or providing information specifically for the programme managers.
System Features
The whole Nelson+ DMS is completely GDPR compliant. Each Unit is only accessible for its specific user and personal data is only accessible for programme managers. Personal data can be removed from the entire system at any time if the participant should wish so.
Furthermore, our system is designed to be able to integrate medical AI readings and can interact with all conventional PACS systems.
